It's no different to finding anyone's IP address.
1# Go to your GMail inbox
2# Open message
3# Use the 'Reply' down menu to select 'show original';
Lo and behold there it is !
With other ISP's you may need slightly different directions. But your IP address is there. ALWAYS there, as long as you know where to look. It's not Illegal and is widely used by WEBMAIL and Internet service providers through your emails. However GMail is pioneering the way forward by refusing to display it's senders ! WELL DONE GMAIL

Now, If you register at any ANY forum on the Internet 3 pieces of info become available to the Owners/Admin One of those is your IP address. This has to be so , They may need to block or ban an Email, a User name for a short period of punishment, or an IP address from re-registering. Users are identifiable by this information.
